Republic of Florida Online Voter Guide

ballot-box

The below questionnaire is from the Republic of Florida’s Online Voter Guide. These questionnaires were mailed to every candidate running for office in the State of Florida. The questions were categorized into four categories: political sovereignty, morality, immigration, and economic issues. The candidates’ responses are still coming in and will be forthcoming. How do you answer the Republic of Florida’s Questionnaire? Do you agree or disagree with the following statements?

CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES
In ratifying the United States Constitution, the several states gave up their right of sovereigntyFederal demands, intervention and control must always be considered when preparing legislation or determining a course of action for the citizens of our State.
SOCIAL ISSUES
Political correctness undermines individual achievement and stifles freedom of expression.Schools in our State should prominently display the flag of Florida on their grounds and in their classrooms.

The schools of Florida are of the utmost importance to our children’s future. By accepting funds from the federal government of the United States we must be subject to its educational mandates. It would be better for our children if Florida were to refuse federal monies and return our schools to local, regional and parental control both educationally and financially.

STATE SOVEREIGNTY ISSUES
As a sovereign State, Florida should be able to control her own borders and immigration policies without federal intervention in order to protect our citizens. As a representative of the State of Florida, your allegiance is to the citizens thereof. Would you support legislation that would strengthen the sovereignty of our State?

The acquisition of natural resources such as natural gas and oil off the coast of Florida should be based on the sovereignty of our State and not on the whim of Congress.

IMMIGRATION ISSUES
Do you support the provisos of the Naturalization Act of 1790 as passed by the first Congress of the United States and carried forward in successive years?     Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States.
Provided also, That no person heretofore proscribed by any state, shall be admitted a citizen as aforesaid, except by an act of the legislature of the state in which such person was proscribed.

A non-citizen entering our state without permission knowingly commits an illegal act and violates the sovereignty of Florida. Millions of these individuals are depleting the resources of our states. However, since they are now on our soil, these aliens should be allowed to remain in the United States and apply for work permits, residency and eventually for citizenship.

The integrity of the Southern borders of our union have been severely compromised. The federal government is mandated to protect states against invasion. Our citizens demand security. The National Guard should be deployed to secure our own borders rather than those of foreign nations.

HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUESThe Bouvier Law dictionary (Sixth Edition, 1856) universally accepted by our Founding Fathers, defines MAXIM as “An established principle or proposition. A principle of law universally admitted, as being just and consonant with reason.” It goes on to state the maxim of “Qui in utero est, pro jam nato habetur quoties de ejus commodo quaeritur. He who is in the womb, is considered as born, whenever it is for his benefit.” Do you subscribe to this maxim of law?

The institution of marriage should remain between one man and one woman.

TAXATION ISSUES

Today’s federal income tax system is punitive, complicated, inefficient, intrusive, and impedes entrepreneurship, investment, economic growth, and job creation. It has evolved into social engineering rather than revenue collection. It should be dismantled and replaced by the system in place before 1913.
